Global Edge successfully headhunted a commercial manager working within the hospitality and Leisure sector to join The Gap Partnership as a negotiation consultant, within their retail practice area.
The role of a negotiation consultant involves a mixture of consultancy and workshop delivery combined with commercial input to the business. This was a critical appointment to the business and The Gap were not only looking for like-minded contributor with commercial acumen and retail experience but someone with the personality and attributes to fit their unique brand.
With his deep and intricate knowledge of the business, role and profile, Jeff first briefed his close team of resourcing partners, each with a close network of candidate relationships within the retail environment. Jeff then personally met with a small group of eight shortlisted candidates to get to know them and assess ‘fit’ against key criteria before introducing a final shortlist of four. One individual was finally selected following a rigorous three stage interview and assessment process.
